Five dice, five pictures, one story you make up together. Roll them, look at what came up, and start talking. Whoever's turn it is takes the first picture and says one line; the next person takes the next one. There is no scoring and there is no wrong roll.
Call them the way you always do — FaceTime, WhatsApp, a plain phone call on speaker. Open this page, tap Roll the dice, and describe what came up. On a video call you can just hold the screen up; on a phone call the words underneath the dice are all anyone needs.

Four-year-olds tell four-year-old stories, which is the entire point. Older children start building on each other's lines. Grandparents tend to tell true ones, which is how a Sunday afternoon becomes the good kind of long.
